Nutrition & Micronutrients

What is Nutrition

Many athletes train consistently but do not provide their body with the proper nutrition, resulting in what they think is a “plateau”. If you are struggling to increase muscle mass, increase speed and agility, or even cutting weight, your problem is more than likely lack of nutrition. Our team of experts are dedicated to bettering the lives of fitness enthusiasts of all ages, and goals. Many people don’t drink enough water or electrolytes to replenish what they lose after a good workout. Oftentimes people overwork themselves, thinking they’ll see greater results but at the end of the day, the human body can only regenerate a certain amount of muscle tissue at a time. This is where many athletes go wrong, and dehydrate themselves unnecessarily to the point that they have physical effects such as dizziness, headaches, and even reduced performance levels. Some people overload on carbs after a workout, but as a result of unhealthy eating, end up turning their food into body fat, rather than healthy energy and muscle food.

How can  We help you

Using thorough micronutrient panels and body composition analysis, MM Sports is dedicated to creating a personalized plan to optimize performance level, reduce injury risk, and increase focus on and off the field. We see what levels you are at, and we cater to what you need. Vitamins and minerals are often overlooked during training. Many athletes do everything they think is necessary to enhance their performance, such as training diligently, with different coaches for different skills. A baseball player might go to the gym, then to a hitting coach, then to a speed/agility coach, and think this alone will aid his performance. What he wouldn’t realize is that micronutrients play an essential role in producing energy, bone health, repairing torn muscles, and even in the recovery process. The more physical assertion that your body goes through, the more fuel that your body needs. If you spend hours putting your body through extensive workouts, then your body needs the proper nutrition in order to recover and work towards your goals.
