Hydration
What is Hydration
Something that is often overlooked like nutrition, is proper hydration. Every physical activity you do, such as swimming, running, and sports, dehydrates you slowly. The human body is mostly made of water and most of us don’t drink enough on a regular basis. Athletes who train consistently are constantly sweating due to them being metabolically active. This means that they need more water than normal and most of the time they don’t hydrate enough to replenish the amount of water their body loses through sweat. This can result in many negative effects, such as muscle cramps, headaches, dizziness, and even heat stroke. As these effects start taking a toll on the body, the athlete’s performance will start to go down. Proper hydration is important to use before, during, and after the workout.
Dangers of improper Hydration
- Dizzy spells
- “Weak” feeling.. Or feeling sluggish
- Dry mouth
- Headaches or confusion
- And many more adverse effects

How can We help you
MM Sports will recommend how much water you should be intaking for someone of your height, weight, and age. Water is critical to all the body’s systems, such as heart, brain, kidney, and muscles. It also helps transport nutrients that provide your body with energy, and help keep it healthy. This is where nutrition and hydration comes to work together. The water that you drink, transports the nutrients that your healthy diet provided, so that your body can be fueled to peak performance. Even a 2% decrease in body weight through water loss can cause harmful effects to your body.
